It is chemistry

"I like to think that in France there is a sixth sense - a French sense... French sense is simple - it is chemistry, a magical mix of the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and textures... As a nation France has chemistry, as individuals the French have spark."

My crappy portrait!

I found this amazing blog, sent them a picture, and this is what they sent back.
I couldn't love it more!

I'm on my second drawing for them as a guest artist. Fancy, huh?

Beach day in Cannes

Spent a morning in Cannes at the beach with the kids and French mom. We splashed around and built sand castles. We snacked on fruit and peanut butter cookies. Cannes kind of feels like old Hollywood. There is definitely a retro vibe in the air.

a hike up St. Victoire

Here are some photos from a nice hike I took up St. Victoire back at the end of June. The hike led to a small chapel where a man was martyred many centuries ago. They cut off his ears which made the chapel known for healing the deaf. It is almost incomprehensible to think that people lived and visited these sites hundreds even thousands of years ago. A truly humbling experience.

Monaco!

We ended our amazing day in Monaco. We climbed to the top of the fort, found some great planking opportunities, and as we came back down we found a Fish Spa booth. Have you heard of this? These tiny fish eat the dead skin off your feet. Amy and I had wanted to do it for awhile so we seized the opportunity! It felt strange and tickled a bit. Finally, we creeped around the Monte Carlo casino for a bit before going home.
